Book an operations discovery conversation

Start with the breakdown costing you the most.

You do not need to diagnose the whole business before you book.

Start with one recurring operating problem: the handoff nobody owns, the decision that keeps returning to you, the delay the team works around, or the number you can see moving but cannot explain.

This 30-minute discovery conversation is designed to understand the problem at a useful level and determine whether OpsHub is the right operating partner for the next step.

The discovery conversation is not the 72-hour Diagnostic. It does not include a Profit Leak Map, a formal assessment, or consulting deliverables. Those begin only through a separate engagement when both sides agree the scope and fit make sense.

Review What to Bring

Conversation boundary

The discovery conversation is not a diagnostic deliverable.

This conversation is for an owner with a recurring operating problem

The conversation is likely worth booking when:

  • you lead an established, owner-led small or midsize business in Texas;
  • the business has a real team and recurring work;
  • the same delay, mistake, escalation, capacity problem, or margin question keeps returning;
  • the issue crosses roles, handoffs, systems, locations, or operating partners;
  • you are willing to examine how the work actually moves, including the workarounds; and
  • you can participate in the decisions needed to define a useful next step.

You do not need to know whether the cause is the workflow, ownership, decision rights, measures, tools, or management cadence. Clarifying that uncertainty is part of deciding whether a formal diagnostic is appropriate.

This is not the right starting point for every need

Do not use this conversation as a substitute for:

  • emergency operational, safety, clinical, legal, financial, cybersecurity, or other specialist support;
  • a free audit, complete business diagnosis, process redesign, or action plan;
  • software configuration, systems integration, marketing, recruiting, bookkeeping, or outsourced functional delivery;
  • project management, regulated professional advice, or technical authority; or
  • career coaching, course enrollment, general thought leadership, or personal-brand consulting.

If the need falls outside OpsHub's operating scope, the conversation does not create an engagement or an obligation to proceed.

Who should attend

The owner or person with authority to explore the operating problem should attend.

One operating leader who understands the workflow may also be useful when the breakdown crosses day-to-day execution and ownership decisions. A full team is not needed for the discovery conversation.

If a later 72-hour Diagnostic is appropriate, the relevant roles and access can be agreed as part of that separate scope.

What to bring

Bring a practical description of one breakdown:

  • where it first becomes visible;
  • which customers, jobs, orders, routes, shifts, appointments, projects, or teams it affects;
  • who touches the workflow before and after the problem appears;
  • what the business can currently see or measure;
  • what has already been tried;
  • which workaround is keeping the process moving; and
  • which decision or outcome you need greater control over.

You do not need to prepare a presentation or upload business records before the call.

Do not place customer, patient, employee, payment, confidential, or regulated information in a booking note. If records become relevant later, OpsHub will first agree what is necessary and how it should be shared.

What the conversation covers

The discovery conversation is used to:

  1. understand the visible problem and where it appears in the operation;
  2. clarify the workflow, roles, exceptions, and business context around it;
  3. hear what has already been attempted and why the problem is still returning;
  4. determine whether the issue is inside OpsHub's operating scope;
  5. identify whether the owner and team are ready for diagnostic work; and
  6. decide the most useful next action.

The conversation is not intended to solve the breakdown live. A responsible operating diagnosis requires evidence from the actual workflow, not a confident answer based on a short call.

What happens after the conversation

There are three honest outcomes:

The problem is not an OpsHub fit

No engagement follows. We will be clear when the need belongs with a different type of specialist, provider, or internal decision.

The problem may fit, but the scope needs more clarity

The next action may be to identify a missing decision-maker, define the affected workflow more precisely, or confirm which records and roles would be required before a diagnostic can be scoped.

A 72-hour Diagnostic appears to be the right next step

OpsHub can outline the proposed operating question, scope boundary, required participation, approved access, and engagement process. The 72-hour Diagnostic begins only after a separate agreement. Booking this discovery conversation does not commit you to it.
